Elevate your cocktails and your culinary creations with this all-natural honey simple syrup.  Made from pure, raw honey from my backyard hives.  Will add a delightful sweetness and depth of flavor to any recipe.  Experience the perfect balance of sweetness and complexity in every sip and bite.

I am fortunate to have raw honey on hand that I can quickly make up a batch of this honey simple syrup.  If you don’t have raw honey, I would HIGHLY recommend you take a drive through country backroads and scout out a local beekeeper who sells local honey.  I will never go back to store bought honey.  I am ALL about supporting local beekeepers!

Raw unfiltered honey has more benefits than anything you can buy at the store.  It contains more pollen, nutrients and antioxidants than your regular store bought honey.  So yes, I prefer honey simple syrup over regular simple syrup in my cocktails.

Honey Simple syrup is literally SIMPLE SYRUP.  The process doesn’t get any easier.  Just use 2 parts honey to 1 part water.  This is considered to be a rich simple syrup. I like to put all my simple syrups into these cute little glass jars, that have a locking lid.  You can also use them to store your homemade nut milk, smoothies or juice.

WHY CAN’T I JUST USE HONEY INSTEAD OF MAKING A SIMPLE SYRUP?  Honey that is poured right into a cocktail shaker or anything cold, the honey will just not mix.   You will have a goopy mess.  Creating a honey simple syrup will dilute the honey that will mix perfectly into any cold drink.

Water and honey in glass bowls

INGREDIENTS:  Water, honey

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1:  Measure out 2 parts honey to 1 part water and place in a small pot.

Step 2:  Simmer on low until the honey has fully  dissolved.  You don’t want this to come to a boil.  Just on the stove long enough to dissolve the honey. That’s it.

Step 3: Remove from heat and let cool.

Step 4:  Pour into a jar and place in the fridge. **Tip You can use these funnels that will make it easier when doing this part.  I also like to use these glass bottles to store my simple syrups and freshly squeezed juices.

This recipe will give you about 1 1/2 cups of honey simple syrup.  Adjust to you liking.  If you would like more, remember it’s just  2 parts honey to 1 part water.
