Hello and welcome to my corner of the culinary world!  

I’m Robbin, a self-taught cook and home baker with a passion for creating delicious dishes and capturing their beauty through photography.

My journey into the kitchen began with a simple desire to explore the art of cooking and discover the joy of preparing meals from scratch.  With no formal training, I relied on experimentation, curiosity, and a love for food to guide me.  Through countless hours spent in the kitchen, I’ve honed my skills and developed a repertoire of simple ingredients yet flavorful recipes that I’m excited to share with you.

What sets my approach to cooking and baking, is my belief in simplicity.  I believe that great food doesn’t have to be complicated.  Instead, it’s about using a touch of creativity, using quality ingredients, incorporating more plant based foods where you can and eliminating high processed foods.  You will also find comfort foods, delicious cocktails, smoothies and sweet treats.  I do try to find a way to make some treats as a healthier option.  It’s all about being simple and trying to eat healthier where you can.

As much as I enjoy the cooking and baking process, I’m passionate about capturing the beauty of food through photography.  Whether it’s a perfectly plated dessert or a rustic one-pot meal, I aim to inspire others to appreciate the artistry of food.  

A little about me.  I was born and raised here in the PNW and have a love for the outdoors.  We have so many mountain lakes to explore, hiking trails, places to go camping.  That’s usually where I will be in the summer months.  I love photography and enjoy taking macro pics of different species of bees as well as food and landscape photography.

On another note, I am passionate about keeping honeybees.  I started beekeeping when my twin sister passed away in 2019.  It was something I was always interested in learning and wanted to one day become a beekeeper.  Whether you’re interested in setting up your first hive, managing your colony for optimal health, setting up bee friendly gardens, to harvesting honey and other hive products, I’m here to offer encouragement every step of the way.

A little more about me.  I am a wife, mother to three teenagers, and a deeply missed twin sister up above.  She loved to cook for her family.  She had a passion for her cooking and always wanted to share her recipes for others to enjoy.  Cooking can bring such great memories for years to come.  She would want me to share my passions with others, so that’s what I am here to do.  Create recipes + create memories.  

My words of wisdom that I have learned along the way, is that you shouldn’t be scared to get out of your comfort zone to try something new.  Have no regrets.  Take chances.  Don’t wait for tomorrow.  It’s never too late to do something for yourself.  Be happy and live your life!  Now have fun and try some new recipes!
